What the workshop does

Diagram of a bicycle service

Servicing

From a gear cable and a chain check to a full strip, degrease and rebuild. We tell you what is worn, what will last another season, and what we would leave alone. Written quote before anything gets replaced.

Wheel building

Hand-laced, tensioned on a Park stand and stress-relieved twice. Bring a hub and a rim or let us spec them. Rebuilds and re-tensions of tired wheels are usually cheaper than people expect.

Walk-in repairs

Punctures, brakes that stopped biting, a derailleur bent in a rack. One bench is kept free every morning for exactly this. If it takes under twenty minutes you usually wait for it.

Bike fitting

Two hours in the back room, on your own bike, on a trainer, with cameras front and side. You leave with the bike set up and a sheet of numbers you can copy onto the next one.

01

Talk first

What hurts, how far you ride, what you did last winter. Twenty minutes, and it changes most of what follows.

02

Body check

Ankle, knee and hip range, leg lengths, foot on the pedal. Nothing clinical — we are looking for asymmetry.

03

On the trainer

Ride, film, change one thing, ride again. Saddle height and setback first, then reach, then cleats.

04

Numbers home

A sheet with every measurement and the before-and-after stills. Free follow-up within two months if something nags.

Prices

Parts on top, always quoted first. Cash and cards both fine.

Prices include VAT. A full service on a bike we have never seen sometimes turns up something we cannot quote up front; if that happens we stop and phone you.

Book a slot

Tell us what the bike is doing and when you can drop it off. Walk-in repairs do not need booking — mornings are quietest.

Questions

Do I need an appointment?

For a service or a fitting, yes. For a puncture or a quick adjustment, no — come in the morning.

Will you work on an e-bike?

Mechanically, yes, all of it. We do not open motors or battery packs, and we will say so before you leave the bike.

How long does a full service take?

Two working days if we have the parts. We book them so the bike is not sitting here waiting.

Is the loan bike really free?

Yes, for any job over a day. Town bikes, three sizes, with a lock. We ask for a deposit only if you have not been here before.

Can you build a wheel from a rim I already have?

Gladly, if the rim is straight and the eyelets are sound. We check both before quoting.

Privacy

The booking form sends a name, a contact and what you wrote. Job records — bike, what we did, what we fitted — are kept for three years, because it is genuinely useful to look up what went on a bike last time. Fitting sessions produce photographs and video of you riding; these stay in your job record, are never used anywhere else, and are deleted on request. Nothing is shared with anybody and this site runs no advertising or analytics trackers.

Terms

Work over eighty euro is quoted in writing first and we do not start until you say yes. If we find something else once the bike is apart, we stop and call. Booked slots cancelled with less than a day of notice may be charged at twenty euro, though in practice we almost never do. Our labour carries a three-month guarantee; parts carry whatever the manufacturer gives. Bikes left more than sixty days after we tell you they are ready are, by Belgian law, treated as abandoned, and we will have written to you twice before that point.
